Wow Chex...Wow.

So I guess Chex didn't take 17+ days ago so I rebred her to my buck Teddy. I then tried again this morning and she tried to kill my poor boy so I'm guessing she took. LOL And now she is a little territorial brat. Oof!!! I am guessing I will have a nice litter of 1 or 2 on June 27th. Now I am just hopeing and praying that Pippet staightens up and is a good mom. She doesn't have a very good mama history. I am almost positive she took as I thought I felt a grape when I palpated her. She is a very sweet but squeaky doe. LOL You pet her and she sounds like a dog's squeaky toy. LOL Gotta Love Em'!

Aborable Hotots

Well, not much going on at the rabbitry. The does are due in two weeks and I'm just waiting. I took a few pictures before I did lots of cleaning in the cages and chicken coop. Please note the pictures are from BEFORE I cleaned the cages so I apologize about the "cocoa puffs" hanging from the wire. I promise its not there anymore. ;)

Pregnant Does...

The sun is shining bright through the clouds as I pick up my favorite buck and carry him over to the plum tree where I lay down on the cool grass and relax with a hotot on my tummy. The air is a gentle breeze and I can hear the bees zoom past, high above us, busily working on their hive.

I can smell the horses in the neighbors pasture, my personal favorite fragrence. And I can hear their teeth gently clipping the grass as they graze. Their hooves taking slow steps to a new patch every few seconds.

All is quiet at Little Rascals Rabbitry.....

EXCEPT SOME CRABBY PREGNANT DOES

Chex is just a tad more vicious than usual and Pippet has no tolerance for other rabbits... And they don't even have their babies yet.... Oh boy! I may end up fostering Pippet's litter to Chex, as Pippet has some mothering instinct issues.

Teddy: "Why you no let me play with does?"

Me: "Because at the moment, they'd rip your cute face off."

Possible New Barn

So my dad might let me convert a small lean-to into a rabbit barn! It is 8'x8'. So here's pictures...

Just a little update!!

New Does!

Got my new does just barely! One is named Chex and the other, I decided on Pippet. Pippet is a sweetheart and Chex well.... she's a beast, that's all I'm going to say.

Updates!

Hey! So its been a few months and boy, do we have stuff to catch up on! Well I'm going to start with the best news. We are getting 2 new does on Tuesday that are bred and due June 10th!! WHOO!!! The bad news is we are also selling Cookies and Flynn on Tuesday as well. But I think that will be the best thing for my line. Teddy is getting very excited to meet the new girls. To bad he can't have a date with them for at least 3-4 months.... Poor Ted. LOL!!

So obliviously we are back breeding rabbits after a 5 year break. We are EXTREMELY limited on holes, but it works for now. In the mean time, I'm tring to talk my dad into building a simple shed for rabbits. He's a general contractor so it shouldn't be to much of a challenge.

I don't have a camera at my house right now, so I don't have any very recent pictures. But heres a picture  of Teddy from a few weeks ago.
